MARCH 12, 2024 - LAKETOWN TWP ANNUAL MEETING
[Residents voted 03.12.2024 to set the levy at $579,251 for 2025]
This statutory meeting provides all residents/property owners in Laketown Township the opportunity to gather with their neighbors to receive updates from elected officials, weigh in and vote on the proposed township levy for 2025, and discuss any additional items raised by those present.
MARCH 20, 2024 - LAKETOWN TWP PUBLIC HEARING HELD
7:00pm at Laketown Elementary School (960 Airport Rd, Waconia)
For residents/property owners connected to the 201 Community Sewer System to review Facility Plan by Bolton & Menk (engineers) relating to replacing the 201 system with sanitary sewer. Letters were sent to all property owners and notice published in Waconia Patriot and Chaska Herald newspapers.
ASPHALT IMPROVEMENT PLANS - PUBLIC HEARINGS TBD
Informational meetings will be scheduled for APRIL/MAY of 2024 for neighborhoods identified for improvements in 2025: Summit Place, Poppitz Lane, Rolling Meadows, Pierson Lake Road & Drive.
Augusta Road Improvements in 2024 - grant funding specific to Augusta Road improvement was awarded April 1, 2024. Public Hearings will be scheduled soon and residents will receive notices at their property address. Project anticipated to begin September and be completed by October 2024.
